Zen Parks

The Parr household is growing. A close friend, Melissa, is leaving us in Malawi in about a month to begin her new life as an RPCV (Returned Peace Corps Volunteer), and she needed a home for her wonderful cat, Zen.

Having visited Melissa in the past, we knew that Zen and I got along. Also, with my history as a veterinary nurse, Melissa felt I was a good person to take custody of someone so dear to her. 

To complicate matters, Zen is pregnant. Actually, she is very pregnant, with a due date of July 15th. Since moving her and kittens would be impossible, Zen made the move to my house this week. The story of that adventure is coming soon, but for now, I just wanted to post a picture of my newest (yet oldest) 'daughter.'

For those of you out there keeping track, yes, that does mean I now have three female pets, and yes, Fletch is also quite pregnant, with a due date around the end of this month. Oh, how much fun this will be...
